Dispatches from the 2024 GCLS conference
Happy Tuesday! Tara here with your latest in queer entertainment news.
🎧 Latest episode: Dispatches from GCLS
Kris and I recently attended the Golden Crown Literary Society’s (GCLS) 20th annual conference. While there, we interviewed a bunch of authors about their latest books and their experiences at the conference.
Listen to the intro above, then check out the conversations. It’s almost like being there!
🎧 Check out Porch Tea w/ Destinee
I had the privilege of meeting Destinee Woodris at GCLS, as well as seeing her speak powerful truths on the panel “The Erotic as Power: In Celebration of Black Sapphic Authors.” So, you can imagine my delight that she’s launched a new podcast, Porch Tea w/Destinee!
The Porch Tea w/Destinee podcast features Dr. Destinee Woodris (she/they) a community advocate and sour beer drinker. Her guiding question is, 'What's the tea on this thing called life?' She is a Black Lesbian living with ADHD from the Midwest with Southern Roots. Some of the topics she covers are 'Living while Black & LGBTQ', 'Adult Friendships', 'Writing', 'Neurodivergence', 'Passion Projects', 'Family', 'Romantic & Platonic Relationships', 'Faith & Spirituality', and more. Please sit and share some laughs on the porch with her and guests as she contemplates how humans exist in a mind-boggling world. Currently, the podcast is streaming on YouTube with plans to expand to Apple Music and Spotify.
